Wild, violent week in River Falls as school begins and full moon emerges

Since Labor Day River Falls police seem to be going from one serious incident to the next. Consider a few: A 24-year-old cited for battery for allegedly strangling his ex-girlfriend at a party; a 25-year-old accused of battery for allegedly slugging and punching out another man who was found spread-eagled on his back on a downtown street while another man, cited for disorderly conduct, stood nearby taunting the fallen man; a 20-year-old local man taken to jail for substantial battery for breaking down the bedroom door of his ex-girlfriend and then allegedly breaking the nose of her sister who came to help.
