Q and A: Capturing history on canvas

Stroll into Farmington City Hall these days, and you might feel like you’re actually out at the Dakota County Fairgrounds. After all, many of the buildings from Dakota City are lined up in the lobby. That’s thanks to local artist Beve Preece, president of the Dakota Valley Arts Council in Farmington. Preece has been working on her own version of the historic buildings at the fairgrounds, and she’s sharing them with the community. She talked about her work last week.
