The old brick palace

They’re turning my old school into condos. It was built in 1922 out of brick, dark wood and sweat, and was by far the biggest, highest and mightiest building rising above the prairie dust from the Mighty Mo south to the Canadian border north, with “Knowledge is Power” chiseled into the stone above the front door.
