You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to understand the ongoing drought in much of North Dakota is continuing to undermine wetlands that are critical to waterfowl. The annual North Dakota Game and Fish Department’s waterfowl breeding ground survey this past May shows there are 70 percent fewer wetlands across the state compared to 2007.
