DL Rotary celebrates 90 years

When Len Towle proposed starting a Rotary chapter in Detroit Lakes back in 1922, it wasn’t heavily supported. “There was some doubt at that time whether Rotary International would grant a charter to a club in a town as small as ours,” their Historical Facts About Rotary book states. “Our population was 3,400 people, and no town that small had ever received a charter.”
