Hot, dry weather impacts business

Although a little rain fell over Detroit Lakes earlier this week, the sprinkling wasn’t enough. “Right now Detroit Lakes is part of the drought,” said meteorologist Jeff Makowski from the National Weather Service office in Grand Forks. He said DL is on the eastern edge of the region of Minnesota where the drought is considered severe.
