DLFD receives $3,000 training grant

The Detroit Lakes Fire Department received a grant in the amount of $3,055.50 to provided advanced training in farm extrication, thermal imaging along with other advanced areas, Detroit Lakes Fire Chief David Baer announced. The grant was awarded to the local department by the Minnesota Board of Firefighter Training and Education (MBFTE), a board created by the state legislature and funded by insurance premiums paid by Minnesota homeowners.Word count: 390
