Unemployment rate drops to 5.6 percent

The Minnesota unemployment rate fell 0.1 percent in January to a seasonally adjusted 5.6 percent, according to figures released today by the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development. The state remained well below the U.S. unemployment rate of 8.3 percent.
