These are interesting times for Becker County: It is wrapping up work on its sweeping new recreation plan and ordinance (a public hearing is set for 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the courthouse), it has a wealth of information from a recently-completed biological survey, and it has to decide whether to replace Mark “Chip” Lohmeier, who ran the Natural Resources Management Department for some 18 years.
