Published 08/13/2008, DL-Online

Former spy Werner I. Juretzko will speak at 7 p.m. in the ITOW Veterans Museum, 805 West Main in Perham. Juretzko was an agent for United States Army Intelligence (G-2) who survived six years in Stasi torture chambers after being captured by East Germany. He was released in a spy-swap just days after the Berlin Wall went up. His tale of betrayal and loss reveals first hand the stark realities of Cold War Espionage. There is no charge to attend the event. For more information call 218-346-7678.
