WEATHER: Blizzard warning issued for western, central North Dakota

Published 12/12/2008, Herald Staff Report

Eastern ND, western Minnesota remain under a blizzard watch
Reconsider any travel plans this weekend to or across western and central North Dakota, the National Weather Service advises. It has declared a blizzard warning for that region, which is expected to get four to eight inches of snow, 30- to 40-mph winds, 45-mph gusts and ultimately sub-zero temperatures and even more frigid wind chills. And all of that nasty is expected to reach the Red River region by later Saturday or very early Sunday, so travel likely will be miserable here, too.
