BLIZZARD WATCH: Potential 'life-threatening' weekend storm en route with heavy snow, 40-mph gusts, 'prolonged' blizzard conditions

Bitter cold, wind chills accompanying storm; travel will become difficult to impossible, forecasters say
You better watch out. And it has nothing to do with Santa. The National Weather Service officially issued a watch early this morning for a blizzard after several days of cautioning the region about the possibility of a major storm. The watch begins Saturday night and runs through late Sunday night. Meanwhile, snow totals of up to one inch are possible with the snow that's falling in the Grand Forks area today.
