First-ever September deer gun season begins Sept. 26 in northeastern N.D.

There’s too many deer in parts of northeastern North Dakota, and the Game and Fish Department in less than two weeks is letting hunters in units 2C and 2D go afield with firearms for an early doe season. The early gun season, the first to ever be offered in North Dakota, begins at noon Sept. 26 and closes Oct. 2.
