Apple barrels will be plumb full this fall

Area gardeners likely will harvest another bumper apple crop this autumn. Typically, apple trees bear a heavy crop, take a break the next year with a smaller crop, followed up by another big crop. But many gardeners, including the Prairie Gardener, are expecting to have three straight bumper crops.
