LAKE OF THE WOODS The best walleye action along the south shore is taking place with downriggers and plugs in 31 to 35 feet of water. On the Rainy River, walleyes and pike continue to be pulled from 16 to 20 feet from Clementson Rapids east to Vidas Landing a couple of miles downstream. Jigs and crawlers are the way to go for walleyes around Oak Island and Flag Island in the Northwest Angle area.DEVILS LAKEWalleye action continues to hold steady, according to the latest report from fishing guide Jason Mitchell.
