N.D. Guard sends 430 employees home in shutdown

The North Dakota National Guard has told about 430 of its employees to go home because of the federal government shutdown. Maj. Gen. David Sprynczynatyk, the guard commander, talked about the temporary layoffs with guard members Tuesday morning in a meeting that was broadcast to armories across North Dakota.
