OUR OPINION: Get English Coulee clean-up back on track

In truth, “the coulee stinks,” The Herald noted in a news story in 2007. The English Coulee flows through UND and Grand Forks’ North End on its way to the Red River. So, “homeowners who live along its banks and the many students that pass by ... are all familiar with the sewage-like smell,” a “slimy odor of decomposing vegetation and algae.”
