Heat proves too much for some Minneapolis schools

Minneapolis schools tried fans, popsicles, ice and outdoor classes before finally giving in to a late-summer heat wave. After three days of temperatures in the upper 90s, district officials canceled classes for the rest of the week in 27 buildings that lack much or any air conditioning.
