Spring has soaked, but past years have been worse in Grand Forks

Persistent rain may exacerbate flooding, but it could be worse, said Mark Ewens, data manager with the National Weather Service in Grand Forks. From March 1 to May 30, Grand Forks received 6.26 inches of precipitation, ranking this year’s spring as the 23rd wettest since the 1890s.
