OUTDOOR NOTES: Cormorant cull set for Lake Vermilion

Double-crested cormorants will be controlled at Lake Vermilion in northeast Minnesota this spring in an effort to limit the number of birds that eat yellow perch and potentially small walleyes, according to the Department of Natural Resources.
