No travel advised in parts of rural northeast North Dakota; snowfall could hit 12 inches in some areas

Winter Storm Eric likely will drop 6 to 9 inches of snow in Grand Forks and more than a foot of snow in some areas before the storm moves out of the Red River Valley by Tuesday morning. Meanwhile, no travel advisories have been in effect most of the day in some areas.
