MARILYN HAGERTY: Trousers for girls — but not women — in 1912

Fresh Air in the Classroom” was the title of an address when North Dakota Education Association held its meeting in Grand Forks 100 years ago. Among other things, said Dr. Henry Curtiss, the speaker, girls should be allowed to wear trousers until they “passed the age of childhood.”
