Capitol repairs have only just begun

The golden ball atop Minnesota’s Capitol dome is as shiny as anyone alive today has seen it. It was unveiled last month, 434 feet above the ground, freshly repaired and with new gold leaf covering it. But below the second-largest self-supporting marble dome in the world, the 107-year-old Capitol building is hurting.
