Banding osprey helps track of rebounding species

With their mother and father circling and crying out overhead, two osprey chicks trembled as a wildlife specialist clasped metal bands around their feet. The pair join the growing number of ospreys that have made the Twin Cities area their seasonal home over the past 30 years, according to Judy Voight-Englund, the wildlife specialist who oversaw the banding Tuesday.
