Duluth area woman, 100, deals with flooding and losing her home

As water rose in the yard of Hunter Lake resident Hazel Lafler, 100, she packed enough to stay with her neighbor for one night. “I was going overnight, so that’s all I did: packed a toothbrush, pajamas and a robe,” she said. “But I never got back into the house. By evening, it would have been impossible.”Word count: 681
