Heat wave puts stress on crops in North Dakota

While last week's heat wave in North Dakota stressed crops, it also helped farmers make progress in haying. The U.S. Department of Agriculture says in its weekly crop, livestock and weather report that 98 percent of barley is booted and 80 percent headed, ahead of the five-year averages.
