ND, Minnesota crops ahead of average

In the weekly crop progress reports released Monday, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s ag statistics offices in Fargo and St. Paul showed 93 percent of Minnesota’s spring wheat and 60 percent of North Dakota’s hard red spring wheat was headed out by Sunday, compared with the five-year average of only 28 percent in Minnesota and 11 percent in North Dakota by June 24.
