A global picnic in Grand Forks

Published 05/02/2012, Grand Forks Herald

Refugee advocates plan another ‘meet and greet’
Feeling the urge to wander? You can travel the world on Sunday, from central Africa to the Middle East to the Himalayas. No passport required. And you’ll have to remove your shoes only if you want to feel the grass beneath your feet or wade in the pool. For the sixth year running, the Global Friends Coalition and UND’s Honors Program will host a community-refugee picnic at University Park from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday. The picnic is open to all, and there is no admission charge.
