Last finalist for UND VP post touts experience

The last of the three finalists to interview on campus for the new vice president for university and public affairs position at UND said experience is one of his biggest assets. Before he was even a university graduate, Derek Hall was already working in higher education. Hall, 47, started working as the assistant director of college relations at Utah Valley University, just a few months before earning a bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University in 1989.
