OUR OPINION: One-sided anti-poverty discussions disappoint

“Our research shows that if you want to avoid poverty and join the middle class in the United States, you need to complete high school (at a minimum), work full time and marry before you have children,” a Brookings Institution report concluded in 2009. How can a conference claim to be about ending poverty if it wears blinders to such results?
