GOP presidential caucus draws first-time participants
The North Dakota Republican presidential caucus has typically attracted a big turnout in Grand Forks, but organizers expected an extra big turnout. The close race between Newt Gingrich, Ron Paul, Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum, as well as recent visits to North Dakota by Romney, Santorum and Paul, seemed to have boosted the focus on the state during Super Tuesday, said local volunteer Bev Clayburgh said.
