State leaders responding to region’s growing pains
The state has made a good start at helping communities in western North Dakota respond to consequences of a fast-growing oil industry, Gov. Jack Dalrymple said in Grand Forks Friday. Conceding that the emotional toll of such rapid and extensive change will be more difficult to identify and manage than busted highways and housing shortages, he said he and other state leaders know they will have to address that sense of loss, too.
