Days like Monday are becoming increasingly rare, Minnesota Department of Public Safety spokesman Nathan Bowie said, but it doesn’t make them any less tragic. Snowy and blustery conditions played a role in at least seven roadway fatalities in western Minnesota, as many as the state has seen in a single day in nearly two years.
