The National Wildlife Refuge System would get a boost in funding next year under the budget President Barack Obama has proposed for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in fiscal year 2013. Obama on Monday proposed a budget of $494.8 million for the operation and maintenance of the refuge system in 2013. That represents an increase of $8.8 million from 2012.Word count: 939
