ANN BAILEY: Winter fun doesn’t depend on snow

About this time of year, our family usually has a bet about when the last pile of snow will melt. The typical guess is mid-to -late April. That proves to be pretty much on target unless we get a late spring snow like we did last year. Then we didn’t see the last of the snow gone until mid-May. I think there even were some spots where the snow didn’t melt until late May.Word count: 656
