Grand Forks-based co-op to provide renewable energy credits to offset electricity used during Super Bowl

Renewable energy credits from power generated from wind farms near Langdon and north of Valley City will offset 15,000 megawatt hours of electricity associated with the game on Feb. 5. Green Mountain Energy Co. in Austin, Texas, provided the credits, which were acquired from Minnkota Power Cooperative, based in Grand Forks.
