NDSU students design winter survival app for smartphones

Two 20-year-old NDSU students from Rolla, N.D., and Virginia, Minn., have designed a smartphone application for winter travelers. The free app determines geographical location, calculates how long the vehicle's engine will run on remaining fuel and provides emergency contact numbers, among other things.
