Sauk Rapids discrimination claim settled; former employee to receive $31,000

Sauk Rapids will pay a former city employee $31,271.57 to settle a gender discrimination claim, according to settlement documents obtained Friday by the Times. Michelle Hoppe resigned her job last month as receptionist/office clerk in the city's building safety department after reaching a preliminary settlement with the city that was approved by the City Council.Word count: 221
