Wildlife managers continue to hear about wolves and coyotes

There’s no doubt the much-maligned canines take a few deer. Last winter, wolves killed six of 16 deer that had been fitted with GPS collars as part of a study the Department of Natural Resources was conducting near Fourtown, Minn. A seventh deer that died also might have been taken by wolves, but researchers weren’t able to say for sure.
