Conflicts of interest prompts National Park Service to scrap Heritage Area grant allocations

The Bismarck Tribune reports that $200,000 was allocated for the Northern Plains National Heritage Area to develop heritage and cultural opportunities along the Missouri River. The Park Service determined that three of four members on the grant-awarding committee are affiliated with organizations that received some of the funds.
