Baseball free agency kicked into high gear late Wednesday, when teams were permitted to start contacting unrestricted free agents. The Minnesota Twins have money to spend -- about $36 million if they stick to last season's starting payroll of $113.2 million -- but big holes to fill and major improvements to make.
