Stampede gives Grand Forks photographer winning opportunity

A funny thing has happened since Jen MacLeod took a photograph of wild horses galloping through Theodore Roosevelt National Park, the shot that won the Best of Show prize in the 2011 North Dakota Governor’s Photo Contest. The story about taking the photo seems to get a little more dramatic every time she tells it, MacLeod said. Or at least that’s what her sister claims, she said.Word count: 615
