Grand Forks leaders decline investment in software firm

Datacom International, a software firm with an office in Grand Forks, asked city leaders recently to convert its $125,000 in city loans to stocks, which would help it hire as many as 80 new workers in North Dakota and northwest Minnesota. On Monday night, the City Council and the mayor, meeting as members of the Jobs Development Authority, said “No, thanks.”Word count: 264
