Inkster mayor honored for leading town's cleanup effort

When Ken Ingersoll moved from Grand Forks to Inkster about eight years ago, he found the community quiet, peaceful and friendly. “I liked the town, but it was really, really dirty,” he said. “There were a lot of old, run-down houses and a lot of junked cars.” So, when he was elected mayor in 2008, he decided he’d do something about it.
