UPDATE: Georgia cop killer executed after stay denied by High Court

UPDATED 10:20 p.m. Minutes ago, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Troy Davis was executed about an hour after the U.S. Supreme Court denied a last-minute stay of the convicted cop-killer's execution tonight. Davis had filed an eleventh-hour plea today asking the U.S. Supreme Court to stop Georgia authorities from executing him at 6 p.m. CDT for the 1989 murder of an off-duty police officer.
