OUR OPINION: Let the Keystone XL pipeline proceed

Despite anti-pipeline activists’ claims, the benefits of the project pretty clearly outweigh the costs.
When civil-rights demonstrators marched, chanted and got themselves arrested in the 1950s and 1960s, Americans paid attention. Voters saw the the segregated lunch counters, the “Whites Only” water fountains and other relics of Jim Crow discrimination, and acted.
