North Dakota 2011 floods cost: $509 million

The North Dakota National Guard is starting the process of paying the bills for this summer's flood. At a Monday Emergency Commission meeting, the state was given authority to accept $329.6 million in federal funds, something that should help cover the total $509 million the flood will cost.
