Data collected from the research effort will aid in determining the portion of Minnesota- and Canada-bred birds in the sandhill crane harvest. The midcontinent population of sandhill cranes in northwest Minnesota has a potential breeding range that includes portions of Minnesota, Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec.
