OUTDOORS NOTEBOOK: Don't shoot radio-collared bears, N.D. landowners seek to host doe hunters etc.

The Department of Natural Resources is asking bear hunters in northwest Minnesota to be on the lookout and avoid shooting bears with radio collars during the upcoming hunting season, especially near Thief Lake Wildlife Management Area and Agassiz National Wildlife Refuge. Minnesota’s bear season opens Sept. 1.
