MARILYN HAGERTY: Tabor comes alive on Czech day with kolaches, horse shoes

They still make kolaches around Tabor, Minn. They create them with prune or apricot and poppy seed filling. Some put the filling on little squares of sweet roll dough and fold the corners down over the filling. Others make their kolaches round. Anne Kmecik who lives near Tabor will tell you, “It takes time.”
